Braulio and his colleagues received numerous awards during his tenure, including Top Ten Magazines of the Year by the American Society of Business Publication Editors. In 2010, Architect’s fourth year, the American Institute of Architects selected it to be the professional association’s official magazine.
Braulio is also currently serving in a volunteer capacity as the Managing Director for the Arts Coalition for the Dupont Underground, a nonprofit working to reclaim the abandoned Dupont Circle trolley station and convert it into a world-class destination for arts and culture. A District resident since departing St. John’s College in 1991 with a B.A. in Liberal Arts, Braulio has maintained a successful editorial career in multiple capacities; he also spent two years as a production assistant/copywriter at a graphic design firm. Always in the know and a stylish, savvy patron of live entertainment, including regular gigs as a DJ himself, Braulio is intensely culturally literate and provides great insight on the latest design and arts news of note. He enjoys traveling abroad with his wife and investigating new cuisines.
